In a political drama worthy of a Netflix miniseries, Elon Musk has ignited a firestorm by publicly denouncing President Donald Trump’s flagship legislation—dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill”—as “utterly insane and destructive.” The Tesla and SpaceX CEO didn’t hold back, warning that the bill would “destroy millions of jobs in America” and “cause immense strategic harm to our country”.

Musk’s tirade, posted on his platform X, came just hours before the Senate advanced the bill in a razor-thin 51–49 vote. The legislation, a sweeping 940-page package, combines massive tax cuts with deep spending cuts to social programs, while boosting military and fossil fuel investments.
