Washington, D.C. — In a dramatic shift, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has confirmed plans to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, as part of a renewed effort to uncover uncharged individuals linked to Epstein’s criminal enterprise.

The outreach marks the first time any administration has formally approached Maxwell’s legal team for cooperation. Blanche, acting under the direction of Attorney General Pam Bondi, stated that the Department of Justice is “open to hearing what Maxwell might have to offer” and emphasized that “no lead is off-limits.”

Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking and conspiracy, was convicted in 2021 for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein. Her attorney, David Oscar Markus, confirmed discussions with the government and said Maxwell “will always testify truthfully.”

The move follows public backlash over a July 6 DOJ–FBI memo that concluded no new evidence warranted charges against additional parties. Critics, including members of Trump’s base, accused the administration of prematurely closing the case. Blanche’s announcement appears to be a direct response to those concerns, signaling a renewed commitment to transparency and accountability.

Whether Maxwell’s cooperation will lead to new revelations remains uncertain, but the meeting represents a significant pivot in a case that has long been shrouded in secrecy and controversy.
